Our class had such a great party! Terrarium-designing, musical notes/activity movements, beanbag toss, estimation station, card-making, valentine exchanging, and "Name That Tune"! Mrs. Corliss, Mrs. Altman, Mrs. Almer, Mr. Brennan, and Mrs. Grotjan made sure everyone had a fun!
Our class had such a great party! Terrarium-designing, musical notes/activity movements, beanbag toss, estimation station, card-making, valentine exchanging, and "Name That Tune"! Mrs. Corliss, Mrs. Altman, Mrs. Almer, Mr. Brennan, and Mrs. Grotjan made sure everyone had a fun! So far, our class has learned about Florence Nightingale, Rosa Parks, Jackie Robinson, Justin Fields, Hillary Clinton, Kobe Bryant, Malala Yousafzai, Vincent Van Gogh, Ja Morant, and Jacqueline Kennedy. The speeches and projects are amazing! Everyone had a good time playing games, making crafts, trying on dress-up clothes, solving puzzles, and socializing with other classmates and fifth graders! After in-class activities and study, 5-1 students researched, took notes, and debated each other in small groups from a loyalist or patriot perspective. Afterward, they reflected on their own contributions during the debate and complimented classmates. During book club time, students read, thought deeply about what they were reading, jotted their thinking and questions on sticky notes, shared and listened to ideas with club members, and showed great comprehension of what they were reading. |
