How does moving water shape the earth's surface? What pathways might be carved into the land? How does erosion cause sediment to deposit in other locations? Our class has explored some of these effects on sand, gravel, small pebbles, and moss. Next week, they will add clay formations and other earth materials to test their hypotheses.
Our class was privileged to have a special guest, Mrs. Downing come to our classroom and share some marketing tips. These were very helpful as students are beginning their cereal box projects. The class learned about how to consider the marketing mix: people, product, price, place, and promotion. They learned that a positional statement is a way to tie the marketing mix together to always give your target market the same message. Put more simply... 1. Who are you talking to ? 2. What is your product? 3. How is your product different that the others? 4. Why should the audience believe you? Other ideas for students to make their cereal box stand out… eye-catching packaging, colors to balance and contrast, simple and clean design, shows movement and energy, etc. |
