Our visit to the Field Museum was a great way for us to see, touch, hold, ask about, and learn about Native American artifacts and ways of life. We enjoyed a guided tour and discussion in the Pawnee Lodge. We also visited many exhibits in the museum.
Can you guess?
It's our very own Mary Stitt! She will be spending some time with us on sharing about how she has helped make the polio vaccine available to people all around the world.
We will share with her what we learned when we studied the life of Dr. Jonas Salk, the man who invented the polio vaccine. As part of our study, we focused on how the polio vaccine helps protect the body from the virus. Our class even created comic strips using a program called Comic Life. Hopefully, we can share these with Mrs. Stitt. I know that she is a very special person, and I'm so glad we have this opportunity to get to know her better and interact about this important goal of helping to end Polio in the world.
